Marco Island, Fla.: On December 3rd, 2023, Maj. Jesse Baker, a member of the Marco Island Senior Squadron and a long-time member of the Grace Lutheran Church, successfully performed lifesaving measures on a 7-year-old girl who was choking on a piece of candy during a Sunday service. Maj. Baker's swift response and extensive training in Civil Air Patrol proved invaluable in saving the child’s life.
Marco Island, FL - On January 22, 2024, the Marco Island Senior Squadron, Civil Air Patrol (CAP), Group 5, Squadron FL 376, paid tribute to its members' exceptional service and dedication to duty. This ceremony not only celebrated individual achievements but also underscored the squadron's vital role in serving the communities of Marco Island and Naples in Southwestern Florida.
Florida Wing Group 5 Commander Major Peter Leckband and in-coming Commander Captain David Bynum as well as many spouses and relatives of our volunteer members were in attendance.
