Umatilla, Fla.: Guided by the leadership of the Florida Wing Civil Air Patrol, the inaugural STEM Academy unfolded with exhilarating energy as Civil Air Patrol Cadets from across the state converged at the scenic Elks Lodge retreat in Umatilla, Florida on the first weekend of February 2024. The air buzzed with anticipation as cadets settled into the rustic cabins nestled by the tranquil lakeside, ready to embark on a journey of discovery and learning.
Helmed by Director of Cadet Programs, Maj. Ann Marie Kozloski, and drawing expertise from squadrons statewide, the event aimed to ignite passions and broaden horizons through the realms of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).
